Tears of Mother Nature – The Crying Glacier

Beautiful isn’t it. But I think she looks more happy than sad, as if she was finally freed… tO kILL uS aLL!

The image of a crying face looming from an icy cliff wall was taken by Marine photographer and environmental lecturer Michael Nolan at the Svalbard archipelago in Norway.

This is a perfect example of pareidolia, “a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant.”

You can bet this image will be heavily used by environmentalists protesting against climate change.
