Pluto “Snake Charmer” [music video]

There’s something about the low-tech aesthetic of this video that I really admire. It plays well with the song. Enjoy Kiwi Music!!!

In keeping with the DIY aesthetic, the band recorded ‘Snake Charmer’ at The Wall Studios [Pluto have formed their own record label, Slow Rodriguez Records, built their own recording studio, The Wall, and incorporated their own graphic design suite all topped off with a green screen studio for music video shoots!], where their next album will also be produced.

The release of ‘Snake Charmer’ will be ushered in with their first music video from The Wall that was made with the help of talented director Florian Habicht (Woodenhead, Kaikohe Demolition).

Pluto are: • Milan Borich (lead vocals, guitar) • Tim Arnold (guitar, vocals) • Matthias Jordan (keyboards, vocals) • Mike Hall (bass, vocals) • Michael Franklin-Browne (drums)

O for awesome [way to go David Tua]

Here’s a fun fact; Pluto’s lead vocalist Milan Borich starred as a child actor in a film called “My Grandpa Is a Vampire” which also starred Al Lewis, many of whom would recognise as Grandpa from The Munsters. The film was directed by infamous NZ filmmaker David Blyth; A man who lectured at South Seas Film School during which year I attended.
