[my short film] W I N G M A N: Status Update
Slow. Very very slow. I have some great shots but they stand for nothing alone.
Two weeks wasted spent gathering with two weeks to go. I am confident that I will have a short film by the end of the year… But only if my main guy doesn’t lose interest, I fear.
Good news: Wingman definitely has an 80’s vibe going for it, as well as psychological, and a drug induced hallucinating protagonist. I have yet to shoot the superhero aspects of the story.
And on another note, I’m officially calling it – I will be Zoher’s skateboarding stunt double. Neither one of us are wizards on the deck, but I’m less afraid to bleed for the film then he.
ZO (20) is a diabetic, schizophrenic, injured skater who has visions of a beverage, high in sugar. A running joke to his younger brother. Zo is constantly eating tofu (against his will) to maintain his blood sugar level and stress.
One day Zoher disobeys the health warnings and seeks out the forbidden energy drink.
One (potentially dangerous) sip transforms him into a hero.
All the signs were there.
