1,905-page Suicide Note Found Online

1,905 pages defeats the purpose of a suicide note really… But then again, suicide defeats the purpose of a beating heart.

‘Mitchell L. Heisman,’ the man who shot himself on the steps of Memorial Church Saturday morning had published online a 1,905-page document entitled “Suicide Note,” according to his mother.

Heisman discusses death at length in the piece, which is publicly available online.

Heisman committed suicide on the top step of Memorial Church Saturday in front of a tour group of more than 20 people, according to a Cambridge Police Department report. [read more]

Sad story. One good thing to come of this is that his very story had a surge in comments of many educated (and uneducated) folks confronting mortality in open discussion.

Mitchell’s death wasn’t in vain. More people have already read Mitchell’s notes in its entirety, than will ever read the Health Care bill. Still; crazy man, crazy story.
