‘Re-Entry’ written and directed by Ray Jay [coming soon]

Did you love 2010’s sleeper hit ‘Monsters?’ Then you’ll be pleased to hear about ‘Re-Entry,’ an independent science-fiction, action, thriller set in post-apocalyptic 2018.

The harbingers of destruction, otherworldly creatures from another part of the universe who have evolved to live, copulate and prosper on our world. They are no longer visitors, they are permanent residents.

So many great worlds are created on a daily basis in literature and on-screen, but few stories continue to live beyond that final book or dvd. ‘Re-Entry’ is one such exception, not only has Sri Lankan/New Zealand writer director Ray Jay expanded on Gareth Edwards’ Monsters simply by telling a tale of another struggle in another part of the world, but he is doing it with respect to the source material and with the blessing of Gareth Edwards himself.

UPDATE: I’ve just been informed that Re-Entry will be released as a 3D film in selected cinemas and on 3D blu-ray worldwide! Ray has also hinted at the state-of-the-art line of defense against the creatures, aka, “mechs.” So we have aliens, robots, tech and genetics all presented in a high-definition 3D package; I’m sold.

Little else has leaked about this indie production or the creatures themselves, but I do know Ray Jay personally and can say, he doesn’t cut corners. Congratulations in advanced ‘Re-Entry’ crew, I know this is going to be something special. AWESOME!

In the year 2018, an ambitious Genetic-engineer and a indisposed hero go on board on a journey of liberation and unearthing as they lead a brave struggle to save our civilization.
