On This Day 26 Years Ago, the First Episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation Premiered

I still watch it. THAT’S MY JAM! When I was a child, during the opening credits, I used to run to the back of the hallway then sprint down into the livingroom and jump on the couch just as the Enterprise shot across the screen, then I’d try for the hallway again before the Enterprise made another flyby, and repeat. Funny kid. Only time my parents let me stand on the furniture, come to think of it. This show was ahead of its time.
