Dr Sketchy’s Burlesque Anti-Art School Life Drawing Sessions Presents ‘Hello Halloween Dolly!’

Ever wondered if Marilyn Monroe would lose any of her sex appeal if she was a zombie? Want to find out? Dr. Sketchy began in Brooklyn and is now a worldwide art community with a burlesque twist, and there happens to be a faction right here in Auckland.

Dr Sketchy is a life drawing class with a more enticing, geek orientated vibe. The Wine Cellar will be hosting @ 7pm, Tue, October 01… NOOOOOOOOO I have major study and an essay to do! Decisions, decisions…

In the spirit of paganism & candy we bring you the ever devious glamazon of darkness: Dolly DeStory. Dr Sketchy’s Burlesque anti-art school life drawing sessions, held once a month in the Wine Cellar/Whammy Bar, St Kevin’s Arcade. Fun evening of burlesque girlies in skimpy outfits! Wine and liquor is to be consumed! Art to be created by the quick fingers of many busy art monkeys.

Bring your favourite tools: pens, paper, pencils, crayons, glue, cameras and/or finger paint. Dr. Sketchy is open to anyone, regardless of creed, colour and artistic style.

7pm start at the Wine Cellar. $10 on the door to feed the model. If you’re good, & be good I mean totally messed up, you’ll probably get candy. Please note, we are becoming rather popular & as such, we recommend you come early to ensure a seat!

Experience completely unnecessary, but a sense of cheeky fun a must. Dr. Sketchys will be once a month, $10 on the door (to feed the models).
