…This brings back memories. Still my favourite of the Final Fantasy series and currently on sale as a digital download for $11.99 on the Steam network. For an early Playstation game, FFVIII was impossibly long, at times incredibly frustrating, but ultimately unique and a rewarding and epic gaming experience if ever I had one.

If I recall correctly, there was one monster I couldn’t defeat hidden somewhere on the map out at sea. I even tried converting all my collected cards just to level up my guys. I still failed…but now I can seek my revenge, MuHahAha!

Prior to FINAL FANTASY 13, according to Square Enix, FINAL FANTASY 8 was the fastest-selling game in the series having sold over 8.5 million copies worldwide. If you like turn-based RPGs you should definitely give it a try. Some say it is the most romantic in the series which I would agree with, which also makes it the funniest in my opinion, taking nothing away from the action and story of course (dated graphics aside).
