Broom! Broom! Honk! Honk! [F]

Today I have been given my first errand, driving to Hamiltron then to Auckland to drop off and pick up the week’s instruments in need of servicing. That’s right, I repair wind instruments. It’s been my summer job since November, but it may become more than that. Tim reckons I’m mechanical and musical enough to learn the tricks of the trade to one day buy into his business and someday own it. Pretty cool prospect. For now however, today, Tim has a higher engagement so he can’t make his routine Wednesday run, so I have the honors of roadtripping thousands of dollars worth of equipment to-and-fro, and just as a reward for myself (let’s keep this between us), I remember my ex mentioning a comic store somewhere in Hamilton, so when I Googlemapped it I found that it’s only two streets away from my first stop! Har har har.

Today's trip

My last stop is close to my dad’s but he’ll most likely be at work, so for my second reward I’ll have to settle for the best muffin made in New Zealand that I’ve ever had, from a bakery in Mangere Bridge. Mmmm. The summer break is the busiest period of the year and I go back to Uni the week after next so I haven’t had much me, myself and I time really, so I’ll have to remind myself not to have too much peddle-to-the-medal fun today.
