Officially installed two weeks ago in the city of Hildesheim, Germany, these interactive traffic lights lets people play Pong against the person on the other side of the road. The ActiWait devices aren’t just a clever way to pass the time while waiting for cars, hopefully they dissuade impatient pedestrians from darting through traffic:
“What started as a fictional project within our interaction design course at the HAWK University for Applied Sciences and Arts is now up and running in the real world!”
