Kaley Cuoco’s Nerdtastic ‘Slave Leia’ PSA

I agree. And I disagree to agree and agree to agree too. I think this PSA was made for woman because it’s just gone through one ear and out the other, but thanks Kaley Cuoco, you’ve given me something important to dream think about!

‘Nyan Cat’ Light Graffiti by Mechatronics Guy

Total Win! I am over the whole “Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan” song and kitty run fly thing, but I like how this has become a symbol. Creatives tend to have a good sense of humour, but I can’t imagine Nyan getting any cooler than this light-trail-painting.

Dave Grohl kicks some A-hole troublemaker out of his ‘Foo Fighters’ show for fighting

Good form sir.

Funnily enough, my first official YouTube post on this blog was of Queens Of The Stone Age lead singer Josh Homme doing much the same. Only, Ahem, slightly more aggressive.

I need to know where this place exists?!

I had an eyegasm when I came across this picture. Reminds me of a space I’d admire if I were a kid again. Fortunately this place is real, unfortunately I have no details on its location. Anyone?

Holy Awesome Dialogue! It’s hard to believe Robin actually said half of the things he did:

Ha! I was sold @0:20 “Holy Banana Splitz!”

The Imagined Village “Space Girl” [music video]

•July 15, 2011 • Leave a Comment

This music video is a compile of yesteryears science-fiction movies and television series focusing on the female stars of the show; as the title of the song suggests:

Yeah, space girls are the best. I love sci-fi, it is one of the few genres where ideas of the future can be explored and accepted within the realms of its created world/universe. The very nature of the genre goes beyond fiction and challenges ideas of technology, our current society and how it may affect humanity in the future. Not to mention, characters get away with dressing as badass or scantily clad as they want. 2:20mins in and I was pleased to see that aerobics was still practiced in the above and beyond *phew* I don’t think I would want to live in a galaxy with no spandex or legwarmers.

‘Star Wars Galactic Warfare’ mod for ‘CoD4’ (Call Of Duty)

•July 11, 2011 • Leave a Comment

Many game developers nowadays give their users access to create their own levels, characters and sometimes even entire games in their own right, using the same software. These unofficial creations are called mods and are downloadable to anyone via the internet. Some are more popular than others of course, for obvious reasons; ever heard of Star Wars?

FPShooters are my fav, but my fav mod so far has to be ‘Fallout3 Cube Experimental.’ Someone made a level inspired by the movie Cube, and it delivered the sense of cryptic, mysterious, loneliness that I like experiencing in my entertainment. Changed the gameplay to, in that not once did it allow you to fire a weapon. …Yeah.

Mods are a gamers best friend.

Light Painting Roombas

A Roomba is an automated vacuum cleaner, only these seven have each been fitted with its own coloured LED. I like it. Add some weapons and we’ll have these suckers multitasking in no time:

The creators, IBR Algorithm Group, explain that the Roombas were all running at the same time, hence the collision points in the painting.

Someone somewhere is profiting the shit out of Nyan that’s for sure:

I know for a fact someone would wear this, but not me. I wouldn’t wear it. …Is it made from cashmere?!

My July [F]

•July 1, 2011 • 2 Comments

Among breaking the piggy bank and forking for this years New Zealand International Film Festival this month, I will be philosophically deciding whether I want to pursue my dreams or throw in the towel and join the rat race of a nine to five job. I’m in my twenties, but I feel much older than I am. Always have. About time I put my youth to good use huh. Wish me luck yo, I could use some.

Or I’ll die trying! YEEEAAAHHH 😀
