Some do it to get noticed, others do it for fun, and a select few just take it to a whole new level.
Meet Jesse Heiman, sure you’ve never heard of him but I bet you’ve seen him before in one of your favourite movies or tv shows, because he’s been in all of them:

National Geographic Channel USA organized a team of scientists, engineers, two world-class balloon pilots and some volunteers, and made efforts to create a real floating house resembling that in the movie Up:
Pulled by 300 giant helium balloons that are 8 feet in diameter, the real floating house set a new record for the largest balloon cluster flight ever attempted.
The entire experimental aircraft was more than 10 stories high, reached an altitude of over 10,000 feet, and flew for approximately one hour. I love when life imitates art!

•February 20, 2011 • 1 CommentI woke up awesome today! And I just got word that they want to honour my awesomeness at the hospital with a presentation/shirt giving ceremony or something. Not that I’ll ever wear said shirt, and I mean ever, but it’s still a nice sentiment. This song is how I feel; most of the time:
Great, great, great song. Sad part is, I have to go back into work at 10 this morning to receive this and I just finished night-shift. Funk you work, I love hate you! Keep the damn shirt, just give me a pay rise!
South Island Getaway [F]
•February 16, 2011 • Leave a CommentLeft Auckland behind for a while. Today, I caught a Salmon – YAY! Had to kill it… But I ate it – YAY! Found, picked and ate wild berries and shared them with a lovely woman who put me up for the night. Linda lives in a very, very, and I mean very hippy town which I love so much. And I got a bad crush on a special someone named Nelson. …Linda’s fat, fluffy black cat. And by fat I mean huge and cuddly and really vicious; I had to fight for his affection and I have many a scare to prove it. More info and photos to come, but so far, the South Island is great 🙂

AWESOME, Awesome, awesome. It wasn’t her fight; it wasn’t her store. But when four men tried to smash their way into a jewelry shop with sledgehammers, an old woman with a purse decided to put an end to their thievery:
Video footage of the attempted robbery at a jeweller’s in Northampton town centre showed the unlikely have-a-go-hero crossing a road and jogging briskly towards the six-strong mob as they smashed the shop’s windows.
The raiders, who had arrived at the scene on three scooters, drove away just moments after the red-coated pensioner, thought to be aged in her 70s, began lashing out at them with a large black handbag. One man actually falls off his bike and is apprehended by more good Samaritans.
It’s true what they say; It only takes one person with courage to make a minority.

Androgynous [F]
•February 10, 2011 • Leave a CommentSo the other day, I boarded the train southbound back home after work. I take my seat and see this blonde girl wearing tight jeans sitting like a man and listening to her iPod on the other side of the carriage. I can’t see her face because she is looking down at her iPod and her silky hair is covering. I’m no pervert, as a matter of fact I don’t look at a person unless I plan on giving them a friendly random hello, but I just wanted to see her face.
Next stop, she gets up and walks to the door then looks around, and I see that this is not a silky haired wahine but a damn girly looking dude… Androgynous emos! What the heck is up with this sense of style? LULZ sorry about that read folks I just really needed to get that off my chest. Writing this out was like my atonement or something. Case in point: not a perv, jeans are cool, ambiguous sexual identity doesn’t get me off, likes girls but must keep my head down on my iPod when aboard the train next time. Chur.
…Is there a moral to this story? Anyone?
