Grace Jones sings “Little Drummer Boy” to Pee Wee Herman

All you kids today lapping up the uniqueness of soul-sellers like Lady Gaga and the like, have no idea about who and how awesome Grace Jones is! I’d sing to her. Grace makes Gaga look like Hayley Westenra.

Ah Bless Paul Reubens for having the most awesomely weird kid’s show ever to hit the small screen:

Grace Jones is the only woman I consider to be really cool, surprisingly surreal and just a little bit scary all at the same time. I like her. She dances like the Diva from the Fifth Element… or is it the other way around? HA!

Boxing Day Roundabouts [F]

I’m a good patient driver, but man, I found myself on the brink of flipping-out when waiting for an opening at an Albany roundabout. Stupid drivers doing stupid things on the road just for a parking space, sheesh, some people have no idea how ridiculous and dangerous their driving can be. All it takes is one fatal news story. Oh well, it’s a miracle there were no accidents; I guess everyone was just hyper alert today than normal.

Being the 26th of December, also called St. Stephen’s Day (bet you didn’t know that) I went looking for one of those VHS/DVD players (yeah, I dig VHS, puto)  but they were all well over the stated prices in the mailed pamphlets sent before Christmas. So I held onto my mooney.

Today’s sales excess is a sugar-coated LIE! Sh*t! There are no more leftovers in the fridge! WHAT! And I want alcohol but I’m on medication! FUNK! …I’m going for a drive.

HAVE A GOOD ONE!

’75 Bands’ Challenge

•December 23, 2010 • 1 Comment

I just received and e-mail from my friend Jess with a picture attachment. Apparently there are 75 band names in this and to be honest, I didn’t get it, at first glance. But I get it noww and I’ve managed to name a few bands based on these random pictures alone. How many can you name? Your time starts, now!

I see Sex Pistols, Alice in Chains, Matchbox 20, Smashing Pumpkins, Scissor Sisters, Guns n Roses, Rollin Stones, Gorillaz, Flight of the Concords (are recognised as a band?), Led Zeppelin, White Snake, Eels, Hollywood Undead, etc, etc.

Jack Bauer’s brutal interrogation techniques, though effective, unfortunately only get him a place on Santa’s naughty list:

Scare Prank Between Buddies

I just watched a compilation video of the best pranks of 2010; most of them were lame and more shockingly, super dangerous — one guy exits a shower and slips on lotion placed there by his girlfriend; not cool, people have died from bathroom related slips. But this one is definitely tops; made me chuckle anyway:

Red Moon at Night – Full Lunar Eclipse Delight – TONIGHT!

•December 21, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Don’t miss this one folks – it’s beautiful. Maybe stay up untill sunrise with someone huh…

Starting at about 12:29AM EST, there’s going to be a total eclipse of the moon, and if you’re living in North or South America, you’ll be able see it nearly totally. If you live in Europe, Asia, Austrailia or New Zealand… better luck next time.

You can see a map of the eclipse’s path here at NASA.

At 2:41 AM the eclipse will reach totality, giving us a ruddy red moon, colored by light from the Sun that is bent towards the Moon by the edges of our atmosphere. Totality will end at 3:53 AM.

At 3:19 AM all three of us, Sun, Earth, and Moon, will be completely in alignment. Lunar eclipses, unlike solar eclipses, can be observed completely safely with the naked eye. No pinholes required.

Not as impressive as, a total eclipse of the heart… *ahem*
