Purgatory

I think purgatory will be an eternity feeling all the pain you have caused on others. And at the end, you will be given a choice whether you would like to try to live again or go straight to the wheel of nirvana to exist as a lower life form…

Maggie Simpson’s naughty message & Banksy’s Couch Gag [cameos & easter eggs]

•October 19, 2010 • Leave a Comment

There’s an argument as to whether there is actually a message in here at all. No one seems to be able to decipher it and many are calling this a stretch. Well, I can tell you for a fact that animators purposefully add hidden easter eggs into their work.

See the blocks from last week’s episode, “Money Bart.”

Without really trying I think I broke this screen-cap, split-second code. It reads — UFUKIONIUMFKR: I think the E blocks are decoys being the only blocks that appear three times in the three parts of the message. That bright letter U is the start of the message and it reads down, til you get to the purple K, at which point you shift your eyes to the other purple letter, O next to an N (ON) the letter I can also be seen as the Roman numeral for number ‘one’ and is the only block in ‘dominant’ red; the contrast colour to blue. Then the message reads as normal from bottom left to right, beginning at the non decoy letter U, and ending on the letter R. You fuck, 1 on 1 you mother fucker.

Is that a Maggie thing to feel frustrated enough to want to say? (I think she’s a genius) or does this mean I’m just BATSHITCRAZY!!! If you want to argue on this matter I gotta point out that there are 26 letters in the Alphabet and more was to draw blocks than in portrait oblique. I scared myself even further though and picked out the only blocks with unique colours; U, R, O, N, and I… Oni being the Japanese word for, demon! Dun dun dun. Kidding, there are well over 100 anagrams here.

Speaking of batshitcrazy; here’s the most super depressing, unofficial, Simpsons opening ever imagined. I hate it so much. It’s by an underground artist named Banksy, who I’m sure you’ll all come to know soon enough. It’s great, but at the same time, I just find it hard to watch; once is enough for me:

Instead; cheer up with this awesome (my fav) intro:

I love the California Raisins! (Totally going to feed this to a child one day) Please enjoy one of my favourite animations on the planet –

The California Raisins covering Stevie Wonder’s 1970 classic and all-time amazing song, Signed, Sealed, Delivered:

The California Raisins, the group of Motownesque, “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”-singing, Claymation characters created by Foote, Cone & Belding and animated by Will Vinton Studios for the California Raisin Board, were a fad in 1987 and generated one of the biggest ad-related licensing campaigns ever, totaling an estimated $500 million in retail sales in about a year…

…But more importantly, this upbeat artform helped shape my childhood.

By 2012 the Star Wars saga will be re-released in 3-D cinemas around the world! (finally, slave Leia and Natalie Portman in 3D!!! *Sorry M* Oh, and Chewie!)

Ok, light sabers, the Death Star trench assault and Pod-racing will be awesome on the big screen no matter what, but seriously George, you could have told dozens more In A Galaxy Far Far Away stories by now. Who in the hell would rewrite an award-winning novel over and over again you know what I mean?

Oh well, If it brings me closer to swinging punches at Jar Jar, it’s all good
