If I took my clothes in to be ironed there, and this guy was on his day off, I might just take my wrinkled clothes all the way back home and only return when this guy’s in:
All Whites 1 Italy 1
•June 21, 2010 • 2 CommentsCongratulations All Whites!!!!! What an intense game to watch.
Italy held to shock draw by New Zealand: For the Italians it will be worse than losing – this was a game they were expected to win comfortably in a style befitting the defending World Cup holders. For the All Whites this is the stuff of dreams, a second point, unbeaten in Group F and considering qualification from the Group and into the round of 16.
The Italians, when they arrived they were arrogant, ignored their fans and strutted like peacocks. Afterwards they complained in the press conference of ‘dirty New Zealand playing with elbows and scoring offside goals’. They largely ignored the media in the mixed zone and left with their tails between their legs.
But who cares really about the Italians, this was New Zealand’s night and one to be proud of.
Roll on Paraguay and long may the All Whites African adventure continue.

•June 20, 2010 • Leave a CommentCheck out the vertebrae on that one! Fun fact; everyone that has seen these so far, seems to like them a lot more than they probably should:
Created by a German ad firm ‘Butter‘ to show off some high-def Japanese monitors for doctors, the photos that follow feature women in a total state of undress: You can see right through their clothes…and their skin. Man, doctors are kinky.
The calendar features models placed in seductive pin-up poses, then photographed to highlight medical imaging firm EIZO’s newest “high-precision displays for the examination and diagnosis of radiographs.”
I can imagine this is how Superman gets his kicks.
Snoop D-O-double-G raps about a Kiwi!
•June 19, 2010 • Leave a Comment…well, actually this is a tribute song to True Blood’s Sookie Stackhouse, who is played by kiwi actress Anna Paquin. Apparently Snoop Dogg is a fan. If you are too then listen carefully to the lyrics, you’ll love it:
“Try to read my mind, you might get wet.” Subtle.
Ten Days in a Mad-House
•June 18, 2010 • Leave a CommentAvid blogger Miss Cellania posted this neat article over at Neatorama that I really enjoyed reading:

Nellie Bly walked in to the office of a major newspaper and became an undercover journalist overnight. It was her idea to feign insanity and get herself committed to an asylum in order to write about conditions in the institution. From Wikipedia:
“After a night of practicing deranged expressions in front of a mirror, she checked into a working-class boardinghouse. She refused to go to bed, telling the boarders that she was afraid of them and that they looked crazy. They soon decided that she was crazy, and the next morning summoned the police. Taken to a courtroom, she pretended to have amnesia. The judge concluded she had been drugged.
She was then examined by several doctors, who all declared her to be insane. “Positively demented,” said one, “I consider it a hopeless case. She needs to be put where someone will take care of her.”
The caper brought Bly overnight fame and led to reforms in the system. She wrote a book about her experiences, Ten Days in a Mad-House, which you can read online. Bly went on to other adventures, as you can read at TYWKIWDBI. – Miss Cellania
The Back Yard Stargate by Father & Son [DIY]
•June 18, 2010 • Leave a CommentSo darn cool, and those functional chevrons look awesome! Coolest thing I remember doing with my dad is making a live-action backyard DUNE game using two dice and all the toys at my and my sister’s disposal. This however is inspiring (goodness could I sound any more like a nerd right now)
“This awesome homemade Stargate was built by a father and son in Australia out of wood, coat hangers, tubing and styrofoam. The gate actually spins.”
The “I’m a Marvel, I’m a DC” Musical
•June 17, 2010 • Leave a CommentFor the 100th episode of JustSomeRandomGuy’s “I’m a Marvel, I’m a DC” parody show, Iron Man discusses Marvel’s box office plans, in song:
When Batman and Iron Man get together to discuss sequels, Iron Man reveals a unique way to respond to his critics and explain the bigger picture for his company’s (and other company’s) film slate.
The “Zoom and Enhance” Cliché Compilation [movie montage]
•June 17, 2010 • Leave a CommentOn TV and the silver screen, when a computer is involved, it’s a magic box that can do whatever the story requires it to, even if it bears no resemblance to reality (but reality is catching up with a technique called compressed sensing).
Computers and their usage is sexed up by Hollywood — funny that sometimes it usually bears a direct impact on the plot. As such, it is one of the laziest tools at a writer’s disposal, serving as a sort of deus ex machina. “How do we connect the dots for the hero detective? Zoom and enhance that’s how!”
FREE MP3 made using FRUITY LOOPS [Fin’s electronic music]
•June 16, 2010 • 5 CommentsI make electronic music. But I’m not confident enough to make a big deal about it, so I just send it out to my friends via e-mail. Whether or not they listen to it isn’t as important to me as me knowing that it’s out there (baby steps)
But this time EXCLUSIVELY I would like to reach out a little further and send it to YOU.
It’s a free MP3, 5.08 MB, 4:26 Minutes long, and all you have to do is drop me a comment in the section below, or send me an e-mail. You can make up a new one if you’re unsure, or better yet, use a friend’s account 😉
Point is this, I make music and music is made to be heard. Everyone’s opinion, questions and advice is welcome, so let me know how good… or bad it is wont you?
Thank you!!! I’ll be sending it out this Saturday 19th 2010
UPDATE (10/07/2010): I can still send it out if anyone wants to hear it?
