This entire game console collection belongs to, possibly the coolest guy on earth, Mr Phil Penninger. Great site sir:

Consollection is a website that features every video game console every produced along with a bio of each. It’s a great reference in case you get in a drunken argument with a friend over what year the Atari Jaguar was released.

I still have my Amiga CD32 and I funking love it! ZOOL: Ninja Ant in the 9th Dimension, RoboCod: James Pond, Whales Voyage, D-Generation, Trolls, a game based on the toyline, and Deep Core, was a side scrolling deep space marine, alien shooter! Classic!!!

I can’t believe there were so many earlier console machines, it’s crazy.

Forget hot cross buns, artist creates six-foot replica of Christ on 153 slices of burnt bread:

An artist has created a giant replica of the Crucifixion using 153 slices of burnt toast.

Adam Sheldon, 33, designed the unique piece of art six months ago at the request of his mother who worships at the Anglican Church of St Peter, in Great Limber, Lincolnshire.

Using his toaster, Adam burned every piece of bread before drying each piece out and flattening them so they were ready to be positioned in a giant frame.

Princess Peach and She-Link putting naughty, naughty thoughts in your head if they weren’t there already.

They also did a Star Wars Burlesque show, but I found that to be more creepy than cosplay-cool:

This would’ve been light-years cooler if it wasn’t made for a large corporate shoe marketing company:

Star Wars and adidas Originals have officially joined forces in our most colossal collaboration to date, bringing you a striking collection of sneakers and apparel inspired by the characters and crafts you’ve followed for a lifetime.

I agree with this mans comment:

“About 50 seconds of hipsters dancing, 1.5 seconds of Darth Vader, a half second of Daft Punk, and then some logos. All in all, a pretty boring commercial?” – bakana

8% of Human DNA Comes from a 40 Million Year-Old Virus

•January 13, 2010 • Leave a Comment

That sentence alone is BRILLIANT!

A team of scientists led by Keizo Tomonaga of Osaka University determined that a virus dating from 40 million years ago is embedded in human DNA.

This infection, known as the bornavirus, might be the cause of schizophrenia and passes from generation to generation inside human cellular nuclei, filling out 8% of human genetic code:

The assimilation of viral sequences into the host genome is a process referred to as endogenization. This occurs when viral DNA integrates into a chromosome of reproductive cells and is subsequently passed from parent to offspring. Until now, retroviruses were the only viruses known to generate such endogenous copies in vertebrates. But Feschotte said that scientists have found that non-retroviral viruses called bornaviruses have been endogenized repeatedly in mammals throughout evolution.

Bornavirus (BDV) owes its name to the town of Borna, Germany, where a virus epidemic in 1885 wiped out a regiment of cavalry horses. BDV infects a range of birds and mammals, including humans. It is unique because it infects only neurons, establishing a persistent infection in its host’s brain, and its entire life cycle takes place in the nucleus of the infected cells. [ScienceDaily]

“I’d like to share a revelation that I’ve had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species, and I realised that humans are not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment; but you humans do not. Instead you multiply, and multiply, until every resource is consumed.

The only way for you to survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern… a virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer on this planet, you are a plague, and we… are the cure.” – Agent Smith
