Big Shorts is here to help three New Zealand filmmakers make high quality 35mm short films that will showcase their talents to the world. It is our job to seek out and select three films of a maximum of 15 minutes duration to receive New Zealand Film Commission short film funding of up to $100,000 per film.Here is the 2008 shortlist:

A European group of researchers have successfully expressed genes from the Snapdragon flower in tomatoes, resulting to deep-purple colored tomatoes with unprecedentedly high anthocyanin content at concentrations comparable to the anthocyanin levels found in blackberries and blueberries.
