New Idea Magazine

This issue of New Idea is one of particular interest to me. My aunty has an article in here about her real-life story dealing with HIV and raising a family. I don’t want to tell you too much because I’d like you to go and get the magazine yourself if you really care, just $4.

Marama now spearheads the INA HIV/AIDS Foundation, providing education and assistance to Maori, Indigenous and Pacific Island people with HIV.

There was a story in NZ news headlines not too long ago about [half] a man by the name of Glenn Richard Albert Mills who intentionally infected sexual partners with HIV. He faces 14 years in prison if convicted. My aunty was a victim to another man in a similar case 16 years ago, and it was her testimony that helped put him behind bars.
