The Origins of the ‘Futurama’ Theme Song Date Back to the 1960’s!!! [music video]
Futurama has a catchy and very unique theme song. Bet you didn’t know that it’s based on a tune from 1967 called “Psyché Rock” by French composer Pierre Henry:
RAINBOW FROG APPROVES
Pierre Henry is a pioneer of the musique concrète genre of electronic music. One of the first to painstakingly tweak instruments in order to get ONE sound at a time. Considered crazy by some at the time; today, this man is a legend. No surprise really that Futurama would pay homage to this man and his work. How awesome!
