Congratulations All Whites!!!!! What an intense game to watch.

Italy held to shock draw by New Zealand: For the Italians it will be worse than losing – this was a game they were expected to win comfortably in a style befitting the defending World Cup holders. For the All Whites this is the stuff of dreams, a second point, unbeaten in Group F and considering qualification from the Group and into the round of 16.

The Italians, when they arrived they were arrogant, ignored their fans and strutted like peacocks. Afterwards they complained in the press conference of ‘dirty New Zealand playing with elbows and scoring offside goals’. They largely ignored the media in the mixed zone and left with their tails between their legs.

But who cares really about the Italians, this was New Zealand’s night and one to be proud of.

Roll on Paraguay and long may the All Whites African adventure continue.

I guess everyone just thought Italy was going to REALLY beat New Zealand. So when the game turned out to be a draw, New Zealand made a REALLY big deal about it. Thanks for commenting Erika.
