Tabby-Cat born with a name across its fur that says… Cat?

•September 19, 2010 • 3 Comments

Garry Marsh and wife Joan, both 57, adopted Polly, a ten-week-old tabby from a local cat rescue centre last weekend:

…But it was only as they admired their new pet’s colouring three days later that they noticed the marks. Mr Marsh, a teacher, said: ‘We were commenting on how symmetrical her tabby patterns seemed when Joan suddenly noticed the letters.

‘Once somebody points it out, it is obvious – the word stands out a mile.’

Tabbies have an ‘M’ marking on their forehead, between the eyes, with various legends suggesting why this is the case. One suggests that the Virgin Mary made the mark of her own initial out of gratitude after a tabby snuggled up to the baby Jesus in the manger to stop him from shivering.

And an Islamic legend says that the Prophet Mohammed had a tabby called Muezza that saved his life by killing a snake which had crawled up his sleeve. When the cat later fell asleep on his arm, he cut his sleeve off so as not to disturb the cat.

From that day on, all tabbies were born with the ‘M’ marking to signify that Mohammed held the animals in high esteem.

Wow, I had never noticed the ‘M’ before. Good letter.

COMING ATTRACTION: Mel Gibson is ‘ASSHOLE IN DISGUISE’

Nice moustache. After Mel’s honest rant to exwife Oksana Grigorieva, the world was shown how much of an ugly prick this guy really is.

Now it seems he’s actually smart enough to have taken in all the abuse that he was wrong, and has chosen to disguise himself. Or maybe he’s just hiding out of self-interest of not getting his ass kicked by packs of niggers and jews.

Nigga [WTF]

Today sux. Watching this video didn’t exactly help either:

This is from a Korean show that was making fun of Japanese people, and black people too I’m pretty certain of that. A parody of a misconception:

“In 2000, Kuntz (and Maguire) released the 6-minute short film Tokyo Breakfast. The spoof sitcom is a parody of the Japanese perception of day-to-day doings of an American family, with an emphasis on the skewed emulation of a perceived black culture (*bullshit*) Characters use the term “nigga” with unusual frequency and familiarity. The film appeared in numerous film festivals and also spread as an Internet phenomenon.”

Niggaaaaa is actually how Japanese say ‘UMMMMMM’ Which makes it funny to hear, sometimes:

Boldly going where no warp drive has gone yadayadayeah… Just wondering; if I was a geek-trekkie-girl would this target-audience-specific product appeal? Because my emotion chip now is telling me, I am humoured by this captain:

“There’s too much flow, captain, she won’t hold much longer!” heheDid I just cross a line?

Finally, genetically engineered Pokémon! I knew these things couldn’t reproduce:

Waste a few minutes of your life splicing pixellated pocket monster genes to create your own mutant hybrids.

Right now they only have the first 78 Pokémon to choose from, but it seems like they’ll be adding more (yippy *cough cough*)

Guillame Reymond‘s latest stop-motion clip features 111 human pixels acting out the classic arcade game. The 2-minute short took about 4 hours to shoot:

PAC-MAN was played by real human-beings sitting in a cinema: it’s the 5th video performance (TETRIS, SPACE INVADERS, PONG) of the GAME OVER Project from the French-Swiss artist Guillaume Reymond.
