If you have a camera of any kindFILM YOUR DAY on JULY 24th

It doesn’t have to be fancy, as a matter of fact, fancy might not even be what they’re looking for:

Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald discusses his latest project, Life In A Day: a historic global experiment to create a user-generated documentary film shot in a single day.

On July 24, you have 24 hours to capture a glimpse of your life on camera.

The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film, executive produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald.

Trashy Artwork by Bernard Pras

I love this mans work, simply because it says so much about the artist:

Artist Bernard Pras He creates his art by stacking everyday objects such as used toys, food wrappers and dishes on top of canvas to create 3D reinterpretations of iconic photographs and portraits.

Pras, a contemporary French artist using photography and lithography, is considered one of the most uncommon artists of the new generation.

Kind of like one huge game of Eye Spy

WHAT IF our Galaxy was merged with all the science-fictional planets we experience in (every day for some) pop culture? “What’s that strange moon where Alderaan used to be?”

…Slightly bigger segments or everything in full size (plus where all the references are from) at Bite Daily:

Today is a special day at Bite Daily, mainly because we spent most of it identifying all these planets and taking a trip down sci-fi memory lane. Do you think you can get all the references?

We also included spoiler versions for those who just aren’t as geeky as we are:

I’m not that concerned that it’s missing Farscape planets and to hell with Babylon 5; but why no Arrakis (Dune)?

I always look forward to Blu’s street art animations – Time is something I appreciate a great deal, and this is extremely dedicated:

An unscientific point of view on the beginning and evolution of life, and how it could probably end.
