I admit, I never watched the first few seasons of this show and I can’t say I ever will. Not that I need to. Season 5 has been telling some good stories so far, having detailed knowledge of the shows past isn’t necessary. Also, we like making a big deal when we see a familiar Kiwi on-screen:

I love the way Amanda’s eyes subtly widen as Fredricka closes; “Clearly, it’s not over. Maybe this is just the beginning…” Who wrote that? It’s so stupid and ambiguous. FYI, it won’t be over, if you keep inviting antagonistic douchebags on air.

Alright, I have a sense of humour and I get the intention behind this video, the makers even state it in their disclaimer; “(This Video is a comedy parody and have NO intentions in disrespect to the ORIGINAL)“:

As parody as this is meant to be, ironically it is still relevant to the original issue of catcalling; victims of this behaviour will always be women, even in parody; not to mention, there is a difference of intentions between the two videos and talents walking the streets as well. What this video proves is thatย identity profiling is very much impersonal regardless of gender, and catcalling shouldn’t be looked at as a single-sex issue if things are to change. One’s behavior isn’t dictated by one’sย genitals, in relation to other people’s perceived genitalia… OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!

I can’t say I like the layout of their website very much, but once I signed up and specified my location, I was surprised to find that there will be weekly meetings at a cafe in town, writing workshops and a few overnight writing sessions throughout the month.
