Skydivers Land Safely After Mid-Flight Plane Crash!

•May 15, 2019 • Leave a Comment

Found the craziest go-pro footage ((replayed from 4 different angles)) I think I have ever seen!!

Two planes carrying a total of 9 skydivers collided mid air, 12,000 feet above Superior, Wisconsin. The wings disconnected from one of the planes causing a fiery explosion. All 9 skydiver landed safely, as well as the two pilots, one of which was taken to the hospital to treat minor cuts.

TCAS for Christmas then aye lads (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) 😅

Satoshi’s Treasure — Hunting in the Digital Age

•May 7, 2019 • Leave a Comment

The internet is a weird and wonderful place indeed. I stumbled upon this enigmatic webpage, calling for hunters to solve puzzles spanning the globe using cryptic clues.

And by stumbled upon, I was actually scouring radio station websites and links for cheap Fleetwood Mac tickets, when some shitty website and/or adware lead me here. I explored its simple source code and honestly, it seems legit — an unknown group has pooled together to create a treasure hunt:

It will require contestants to monitor “the output of the primitive orbitals known in your time (your time?) as GALAXY18, EUTELSAT 113, TELSTAR 11N, and TELSTAR18V,” satellites in other words, as well as be on the lookout for three random people they call “agents” to present them with items (such as Ornament of Abhidharma and William Gibson’s short story Burning Chrome) in exchange for a key. All of this effort for the winning prize of Bitcoin, equal to the sum of 1 million dollars USD.

One clue comes with a rather strange animated GIF:

The quest offers a promise of bitcoin, but calls for a level of mental prowess I very much doubt the average Joe looking for Fleetwood Mac tickets has the time and/or interest in pursuing. …And intellect. There’s something else here… This is about something else… I suspect the organizers get a lot more out of this then what is being let on however much fun. I’m talking counter-intelligence level sneakiness. Smart minds come and play, sure, but I would be suspect of scrutiny from the game-masters behind the veil. But I digress, have at it if y’all are game, and feel safe.

As for me, I’m tired (finished 12 hour shift 3 hours ago), and frustrated (tickets are selling upwards from $300!) and confused (have I been trolled by this silicon valley Satoshi shit!?) — Adieu!

Independence Day: A Star Wars Story [mashup]

Ever since Disney took over Star Wars, we’re getting at least a movie a year from the franchise. But one film that’s not currently slated is an unknown side story in which Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum must destroy the Death Star after it blew up the White House.

May the Fourth be with you!

Today was the first thick morning fog of the year and I happened to have a thick torch, so yeah, naturally I goofed off on the job, in honour of a classic, because I’m fun like that.

You seem all good, but no one else must know! Move along, move along.

The animator also made this short about a break-up between two people who might actually deserve each other:

Dance music played out for the hundreds of fans who flocked to the town of Braintree in eastern England on Friday for the funeral of Keith Flint, former frontman of the Prodigy:

Renowned for his facial piercings, heavy makeup and eccentric devil-horned hair cut, Flint played a major role in establishing the credibility of dance and electronic music.

The funeral procession followed a 2-1/2-mile path to St Mary’s Church and while the church service itself was reserved for friends and family, Flint’s bandmates had invited fans to line the route to “raise the roof for Keef!”

Fans have launched a petition to have a statue of the late singer erected in Braintree. According to the petition, which has amassed almost 9,000 signatures, residents of the town want “to pay homage and honour its most famous son.”

25 Year Anniversary of THE ELDER SCROLLS

Bethesda.net is commemorating a quarter century of Tamriel and
the community that calls it home with a whole host of special gifts, sales and more!

My sister introduced me to MORROWIND back when and it was a terrific gaming experience. Come to think of it, I wonder if the only reason she showed me was for name-calling purposes, so I would feel her insults, N’wah! You s’wit! Stoopid! Filthy dark-elf piece of shit Khajiit loving *back-hand* I’ll freaking cut ya! …OK, I made that last one up but that’s near how I felt. The rivalry is real.

And that thematic score, to this day, is one of the most inspiring orchestral pieces ever made for a video game, period:

Ahh I want to go an adventure RN! Good soundtrack all round really.

Played it before? then this might resonate with your funny bone:

And supplemental material in this series is insane, as demonstrated by this insane bro:

Can’t wait for more.

New DEFTONES Album!! (2019)

•March 10, 2019 • Leave a Comment

In early December, Deftones posted a photo of Sacramento with the simple caption ‘#2019 #newmusic’. Kerrang! magazine (devoted to hard rock and heavy metal music) has confirmed this in an interview with frontman Chino Moreno.

The alt-rock icons are expected to release their follow-up to 2016’s ‘Gore’ in 2019 — Moreno says that the band are currently in the “experimental mode” of recording it.

“We’re definitely getting into experimental sort of modes, which is the funnest phase that we get into. One of the biggest records in our career is obviously White Pony, and it’s our most commercially successful record, as well, but that was also one of our most experimental records, especially for the time when it came out. That record, making it was… what’s a good word to describe it? We felt really free,” Moreno told Kerrang.

“We basically made whatever we liked, whatever was happening at that moment. It didn’t really go along with what was going on around us, as far as our contemporaries and where other music was.” [KERRANG!]
